• 2020 — Grand Seiko launched the new Series 9 design language and created the Evolution 9 collection to embody a more advanced expression of Grand Seiko Style.
• 2021 — The White Birch SLGH005 arrived as one of the defining early Evolution 9 watches, bringing the new automatic Hi-Beat Caliber 9SA5 to a regular-production model.
• 2022 — Evolution 9 expanded into sport with Spring Drive GMT, chronograph GMT, and diver models, broadening the collection beyond time-and-date pieces.
• 2023 — The collection gained the Tentagraph SLGC001, Grand Seiko’s first mechanical chronograph and a major technical milestone for the brand.
• 2024 — Grand Seiko introduced manual-winding Evolution 9 dress watches SLGW002 and SLGW003 with the new Hi-Beat Caliber 9SA4, refining the style for slimmer, more elegant proportions.
• 2025 — Spring Drive U.F.A. debuted in Evolution 9 with SLGB001 and SLGB003, introducing Caliber 9RB2 with rated annual accuracy of ±20 seconds per year.
